This Fishers homeowner was actually a referral from our Bone Dry Repair team. They noticed that the customer's chase lid was in pretty bad condition and possibly needed some tuck-pointing as well. Bone Dry Masonry went out to inspect the situation, and determin the repairs needed that were outlined in a detailed estimate and report. Our team went out and replaced the old chase lid with a new stainless steel chase lid and finished with additional tuck-pointing. The customer is able to enjoy the view at the top of the well built chimney!
This homeowner contacted Bone Dry Masonry due to a crack above the garage panel. Masonry Specialist Nathan Traylor went out and inspected the area for the customer. He suggested to remove the bricks around the panel and the shoulders of the arch, along with inspecting the wood to make sure no further damage was done. After inspecting the wood to install house wrap, wall ties, ice and water shield, and then relay existing bricks. Homeowners are happy knowing that the wood was not damaged and that the arch has return to its natural beauty.
The Schorr's called bone dry due to them noticing a leak coming from the chimney. We sent out our sales rep Alec to take a look at what was going on. he determined the chimney was not up to code so we recommended a chimney rebuild from the roofline up. We took out some rotted decking around the chimney as well as the framing/ OSB in the chase. We replaced the flashing, masonry, and chase lid. The Schorr's were very satisfied with how this chimney turned out!
